ARCSA Extends Deadline to Implement New Categories, Requirements, and Fees for Operating Permits

The National Agency for Regulation, Control and Sanitary Surveillance (ARCSA) has resolved to extend the deadline for the implementation, within its IT system, of the new categories, activities, requirements, and fees applicable to operating permits for establishments subject to sanitary control and surveillance, in accordance with Resolution No. ARCSA-2026-0007-R.

This extension corresponds to an additional two-month period, counted from April 18, 2026, establishing a new deadline of June 18, 2026.

The resolution applies to all establishments subject to sanitary control and surveillance, such as:

  • Pharmaceutical laboratories of biological products
  • Pharmaceutical distributors
  • Medical device representation and distribution companies
  • Distributors of medical devices and/or in vitro diagnostic biochemical reagents for human use
  • Food processing companies
  • Beauty salons
  • Among others

The collection of the fees established in Resolution No. ARCSA-ARCSA2026-0007-R will begin on the day following the completion of the implementation process within the operating permits IT system.
